sorry, i dont. But (this sounds dumb but it worked for me) try googling "Krav Maga" and then your city, it's how I found my place. I was wondering if you guys could help me on this.......

I have a blackbelt in Tae Kwon Do and I am wanting to start Krav Maga, is this a waste of time or are they actually very different? and also, is the ATA blackbelt academy good (they have locations in every state) thanks for the help!

Hi Wayne and welcome to MAP.

Unfortunately we don't allow simple links back to other websites, as we exist to promote discussion here, not elsewhere.

Please feel free to add to the discussion in this or any other thread :)

Some ATA school are bad, that is the issue with them, if you look about you will fin a good one, make sure they spar and make sure its not just TKD with bursting added into it and the instructor is actual a krav guy.

The purpose of Krav Maga is to teach people how to utilize their aggression in a certain amount of time.

You can't teach effective hand-to-hand combat in a couple weeks.

Besides.. the concept of Krav Maga being effective is ludicrous simply because of how it's, supposedly, implemented.

If you're in the middle of a modern battlefield and you're in CQ with an enemy, you've already made so many mistakes that.. frankly.. how badass you think you are is about as relevant as Steven Seagal's glory days.

In other words, it isn't.. and you're not.. because you're in that goddamn position to begin with.

So yeah. Most "Krav Maga" that's taught today is just bad kickboxing and actual Krav Maga isn't a martial art.. not because "it has no rules" or any other edgelord crap like that.. but because it's not even meant to be a combat system.
